Rose Koini

Rose holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Kenyatta University, a Higher Diploma in Science Counseling Psychology from Maranatha College of Professional Counselling and Training, and a Masters in Science Counselling Psychology. She has taught PSHE in Thailand and early years in Kenya, Indonesia and Vietnam. In her free time, Rose enjoys running, exercising and shopping.

Theresa holds a Bachelor of Business Studies with German from Waterford Institute of Technology and a PGCE in Primary Education with a German specialism from Liverpool Hope University. She has taught a range of subjects and grade levels for over 11 years, including English as a foreign language, German, and grades 1 and 4. She has taught in South Korea, the UK, Egypt, Romania, and Dubai. Outside school, Theresa enjoys reading, horseback riding, painting, and playing Gaelic football.

She has taught in the USA, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore and China. Danielle specializes in Primary Education K-6, Literacy and ESL. Outside school, she is an avid scuba diver and enjoys going to the cinema.

Angela holds a Bachelor of Education Foundation Phase from Embury Institute for Teacher Education–Durban. Prior to joining us at TH School, she taught primary in South Africa and Kuwait. She has taught kindergarten and primary for over 16 years in schools in the UK and the UAE. Outside the classroom, Jennie enjoys trial bike riding, playing descant recorder, and attending music festivals.

Macarena holds a BA in Modern Foreign Languages from the University of Seville and an MA in Early Years Education from Miguel de Cervantes European University in Valladolid, Spain. She has taught for over 10 years to grades 2-5 in Spain, Italy, Germany, Egypt, Qatar and the UAE. Outside of the classroom, Macarena enjoys travelling, baking, and reading, as well as painting, hiking and meditation.

Benedine holds a B.Paed in Primary Education from the University of Durban–Westville. She has taught for over 20 years to grades 1, 2, and 4-7 students in South Africa. Outside of the classroom, Benedine enjoys cooking, visiting galleries, and yoga.

Barbara holds a Bachelor of Education from James Madison University and an M.Ed. in Hearing Impaired Education from Gallaudet University. She has taught kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grade, 6th grade math, and deaf education (ages 4-12) for over 20 years in the US, Saudi Arabia, and Myanmar. Outside the classroom, Barbara enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, snorkeling, and spending time at the beach.

Jill holds a B.Ed. in Early Childhood from James Cook University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Child Protection Practice. She has served as Pastoral Care Coordinator at St Andrews Catholic College in Queensland, Australia and taught students from Foundation to Year 6 for over 12 years in Australia, England, and the Falkland Islands. Outside school, Jill enjoys cooking, gardening, and travelling.

Michelle holds a BA in Photography from Nottingham Trent University, an MA in Photographic Studies from Derby University, and a PGCE for Primary Education from Sheffield Hallam University. She has taught for over 15 years in the UK and Vietnam and trained in leading the International Primary Curriculum. Outside the classroom, Michelle is passionate about road cycling, and she has cycled the Mekong Delta.

With 27 years teaching experience and 11 years administrative experience, she has taught Pre-KG, KG and Grades 1-6 in South Africa. Outside the classroom, she enjoys entertaining family and friends, golf and sport, travelling, cooking and reading.

Nicky holds a Bachelor of Teaching and Bachelor of Teaching with first class Honours from Waikato University New Zealand. She has taught for over 15 years, with 9 years’ experience leading e-Learning. She is a certified Advanced Classroom Expertise Teacher and the author of the book ICT Communiqué: An Easy Guide to Integrating ICT Into the Classroom (2012). Outside the classroom, Nicky enjoys cooking, biking, and learning about photography.

 Nicholas Roe

Nic holds a BA in Sports Science from Chester College and a PGCE in Primary Education from La Sainte Union, University of Southampton. A qualified TESOL teacher, Nic is an experienced IPC practitioner who taught at one of the first schools to launch the curriculum in 2000. He has taught for over 22 years in Brunei, Nigeria, Thailand, and Malaysia. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, running, and swimming.

 Robbie Griffith

Robbie earned his BA in Art, Design & Technology from the University of Wales and has taught for over 19 years in Wales, England, Malaysia, and Taiwan. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in England and Taiwan, with commissions in Borneo and Kuala Lumpur. Outside of school, Robbie is a certified Yachtmaster in sailing, a dive master, lead climber, and triathlete.

Anissa Ruiz

Anissa holds a BS in Music Education K-12 from the University of South Florida. She has taught grades 1-12 music and grades 7-11 drama for over 18 years to students in the United States and United Arab Emirates. Anissa is a clarinet player, and outside of the classroom, she enjoys Zumba and has been a licensed Zumba instructor since 2005.

Maeve holds a BSc in Physical Education with Concurrent Geography Teaching from the University of Limerick and an Erasmus Mundus Masters in Adapted Physical Activity from KU Leuven. She has taught secondary school years 1-6 in Ireland and primary PE from KG2 to grade 5 in the UAE. Outside of school, Maeve enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with family, as well as hiking, running, and being outdoors.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Salem State University and teaching licenses in ESL for PreK-grade 12 and History for grades 5-12 from the state of Massachusetts. Ryan joins TH having taught English to students in grades 3-5 in China. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Elementary Education at Merrimack College and enjoys reading, painting, and traveling in his free time.

Daniel holds a BA English from Ohio State University, MA Teaching from Marian University, Cambridge CELTA, and Educator’s License from the state of Indiana. He has taught EAL and English language arts to students in Guatemala, Panama, Colombia and the US. He also was a founding teacher at a school for immigrants and refugees in Indianapolis. Outside school, Daniel enjoys cooking, running, travel and literature.

Pauline holds a BA in Sociology/Politics and English and Postgraduate Diploma in Education from National University of Ireland Galway, as well as a certificate in Personnel Management from Galway Institute of Technology. With 19 years teaching and 10 years administrative experience, Pauline has taught primary and secondary in Ireland, Brunei, Spain, the UAE, Qatar and Kazakhstan. In her free time, Pauline enjoys yoga, bodypump, running, hiking and cycling.

Tom Rosavear

Tom holds a BA in English Language and Literature, an MA in English and PGCE from Cardiff University, as well as a Diploma in TEFL from the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology. With over 43 years teaching experience, he has taught English, drama, and theory of knowledge in several countries, including Wales, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan and China. He has directed over 50 high school plays and musicals. Outside the classroom, Tom enjoys reading detective stories, travelling and gardening.

Denis holds a BA (Hon) in Art and Design from the University of East Anglia, Cambridge CELTA, and teacher-training certification in Teaching ESL Students in Mainstream Classrooms (TESMC). He has 12 years teaching experience and has taught primary and secondary English and EAL in England, the Channel Islands, Thailand and China. Outside of the classroom, Denis is an experienced chef and PADI rescue diver, and he enjoys swimming and exploring Southeast Asia.

She has taught secondary mathematics for over 16 years in the UK and Vietnam, six of which she served as Head of Mathematics. In her free time, Jane enjoys baking, sewing, and travelling.

Nick holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Redlands, an MA in International Relations from Kyung Hee University, TESOL Certificate, and Florida State Teacher Certification in Grades 6-12 Social Science. He has taught a range of subjects to students in Vietnam and South Korea, including secondary social science, English, communications, PE, and Grades 1-5. A certified Crossfit Level 1 fitness trainer, Nick enjoys exercising in his free time, as well traveling and reading.

Bram Wanrooij

Bram holds an MA in Contemporary History from the University of Groningen and MEd from the University of Amsterdam. With over 13 years experience, he has taught secondary humanities and history, A Level sociology and history, and history at the university level in the Netherlands and the UK. He was nominated Netherlands’ Teacher of the Year in 2011 and is currently writing a book on the refugee crisis in Europe. Outside school, Bram enjoys the outdoors, sports, writing and politics, as well as spending time with his wife Sophie and children Charlie, Walter and Florence.

In addition to serving as an administrator for 14 years, he has taught chemistry and physics for over 26 years in the UK, Spain, Peru, Brunei, the UAE, and Oman. In his free time, Tony enjoys gardening and following rugby and cricket.

Lauren holds a BA in Studio Art from the University of Colorado and teacher certification from Rudolf Steiner College in Stockholm, Sweden. Using art as a means of therapy has always interested Lauren, and she has pursued studies in art therapy in Sweden and the US. She has taught for over 16 years in Sweden, Malaysia, Qatar, and the US. In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, gardening, cooking vegetarian food and creating art.

Outside of the classroom, Kimberley enjoys mountain hiking, trail running and rock climbing, as well as learning about World History and robotics.

Specializing in ESL and boarding management, she has taught English and ESL in Australia and is a member of the Australian Boarding Schools Association. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling, visiting historic places, and renovating old houses.
