The Community Service Club plants its first seeds in the new community garden at the Chùa Bộc campus
Today, students from the Community Service Club began their first session of the TH Garden Development Project, which involves building a community garden on the grounds of the Chùa Bộc campus. The workshop was led by Mr. Daniel Klinkert, an expert in designing and caring for gardens. The students learned some gardening fundamentals, including how to plant trees, how to make soil more spongy, and how to nourish soil with organic nutrients. Club members listened attentively to instructions on how best to take care of and water plants and how to incubate dry leaves and pasture to nourish the soil. They were excited to plant seeds for the first new plants in the garden!
In the next session, students will continue learning about how to create organic nutrients in the soil and begin working with crops well suited for the climate and weather that they can take care of easily. The will also install signs and fences for their garden.
We look forward to seeing the community garden grow and students blossom into bona fide gardeners!
