Opening Ceremony 2017
We welcome all members of the school community in celebrating a new academic year.
This morning, in harmony with students across the whole of Vietnam, the Opening Ceremony of the 2017-2018 academic year took place in a warm, exciting atmosphere with many meaningful activities that reflect our core values of Global Thinking and Pride in Vietnam.
Superintendent Pete Kennedy together with Mr. Lê Hồng Thủy, Chairman of the School Board opened the Ceremony. Following the tradition of many generations of Vietnamese students at the start of each school year, the drum was sounded in the bustling atmosphere of the opening day. Teachers and students spent this time together, demonstrating whole school harmony and synergy and setting up for a new school year of good teaching and good learning. Students actively participated and played many important roles in the ceremony, from hosting and giving speeches to song and dance performances. Active participation and creativity are qualities TH School encourages students to develop in learning and in life more broadly.
Reflecting on the first academic year of success, Superintendent Kennedy said, "The 2017 - 2018 school year marked a significant development of TH School. We welcome many new students from 2 years old to 12 years old. I am confident that with experienced teachers coming from countries with advanced education and the insights of Madam Thái Hương, our founder, TH School can look forward to a memorable year. More importantly, we will continually strive to improve our efforts to create a truly inclusive educational environment that encourages each student to be confident in his or her potential."
